Greencastle boasts a thriving downtown, full of vitality, creativity and energy. Home to local restaurants, the arts, entertainment and local businesses, the city’s downtown is anchored by the Putnam County Courthouse and is steps from the DePauw University campus.

The Indiana SBDC offers no-cost business advising, training, referrals, and a library of cultivated tools and resources to help businesses, from startup through sale or retirement, succeed.

The organization provides its member’s services in the areas of advocacy, professional development, and education that affect the local business community. Also serving as the voice for business-related information, peer-to-peer networking opportunities, and making regional-level connections to benefit businesses in our area.

Since 2018, Tenzer Hub has served as a centralized workplace for entrepreneurs, creative thinkers, and remote workers to operate and collaborate. It exists to cultivate entrepreneurship and economic development in both Putnam County and within DePauw University.

We develop community partnerships in order to create and support projects and events that capitalize on downtown’s historic architecture, to be enjoyed by the community and visitors, as well as support our local businesses and organizations.

The mission of the Greencastle/Putnam County Development Center is to promote investment in Putnam County which will result in quality job opportunities, sustain and contribute to economic growth, and improve the quality of life for our county.
